At airports in the United States, passengers who purchase liquids and/or gels at duty-free stores can bring them with them to board the plane. If they have been purchased at other airports, they must register the items in the checked luggage upon arrival in Panama, as it is the last point of departure to the United States. Shop assistants must deliver the items purchased at the boarding gate. * When traveling to the United States, passengers will be allowed to carry, as hand luggage, liquids, gels, bottles of liquor and/or aerosols that have been purchased in the duty free stores at the International Airport of Tocumen in Panama. Items larger than 100 ml or 3.4 oz must be transported in checked baggage. It is recommended that these items be carried in checked baggage even when permitted by regulations.

All passengers bound for Colombia who require the entry of firearms for civilian and/or sporting use must transport all firearms in containers separate from hold baggage (case or safety boxes), duly closed, with a security system (padlock or key), identification system (bag tag) and the corresponding security declarations.

This request must be made in advance of the travel date.

Any foreign passenger bound for Guatemala who requires the entry of firearms for civil and/or sporting use must submit a request to the Guatemalan Consulate so that the General Directorate for the Control of Arms and Ammunition (DIGECAM) issues an authorization and import license or special and temporary license to carry and/or transfer to enter the weapon into the country.
