I think it is unreasonable to feel entitled to the work they put into FX for free. FX3 will continue to work and you have not lost anything. Multiplayer matchups, user generated tournaments and league play create endless opportunity for pinball competition. Yes, it would be nice to provide the tables for free, but the opposite of doing a nice favor, is not greed.
